Unaccompanied asylum-seeking children will be decorating wooden panels with artwork at Harrow Museum this coming weekend for a project called 'Home 2 Home'.

The museum, in Pinner View, Harrow, won funding from the John Lyons Trust to allow youngsters fleeing Afghanistan, Iraq and Eritrea to document memories of their home country for an exhibition.

The Harrow diabetes group has invited a specialist nurse to talk about the condition at its monthly meeting on September 25.

The talk will start at 8pm at Harrow Baptist Church in College Road, Harrow, and is free for everyone interested in finding out more about diabetes.

Handbag grabbed from lorry cab

A thief snatched a lorry driver's handbag from her cab when she stopped to ask for directions.

A 43-year-old woman stopped her lorry in Kenton Road, Harrow between 11.45 am and 12.00 on Wednesday (27) and got out of her cab to ask a member of the public directions.
