Man named in flat fire death

A man who died after a blaze at sheltered accommodation for the elderly has been named as Brian Leavens.
The 70-year-old was rescued by fire fighters from Gillian House, in Elms Road, Harrow Weald, on December 13.
He was taken to Northwick Park Hospital, in Watford Road, where he later died.
An inquest has been opened into Mr Leavens death after the fire at the flats, which are owned by Harrow Churches Housing Association.
