Harrow Council offers advice to those who have difficulty paying mortgage

Posted by Ian Proctor on Dec 25, 09 09:00 AM in Local Authority

HOMEOWNERS struggling with mortgage payments can seek advice and support from Harrow Council next month.
People can talk through their financials problems with the authority's housing advisers at a stand at St Ann's Shopping Centre in St Ann's Road, Harrow, on Tuesday January 12 from 11am to 3pm.

Residents can also speak to professionals at the council's Homeowners Mortgage Support and Advice Day being held at Harrow Civic Centre on Thursday January 28 between 1pm and 6.30pm.
Councillor Barry Macleod-Cullinane (Conservative), portfolio holder for adults and housing, said: "Many residents don't realise that the council provides a service for those homeowners, offering help to those struggling to keep up with mortgage payments.
"With more people feeling the financial strain over the last two years, it is even more important for us to give support to those who are having trouble with mortgage arrears."
