Give caring relatives and friends a rest for National Carers Week
VOLUNTARY organisations are supporting the hard work of carers as part of a week of events.
National Carers Week is being championed by Harrow Council with a series of lunches, talk and teas.
The events run all week from Monday June 18 and start with the health launch event at Harrow Carer Centre at 10am.
There is an event for young carers at Hatch End High School on Tuesday June 19 and a Jubilee Tea on Wednesday 20 with a screening of a film celebrating the life of Queen Elizabeth II at Harrow Carer Centre from 11am to 2pm.
On Thursday June 21 a community awareness event will take place at St George's Centre from 10.45am to 12.45pm as well as a carer's lunch at Black Pepper Restaurant in Hatch End on the same day.
Carers can also take part in a country retreat at the Niland Centre, Bushey Heath on Friday June 22.
